The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) is dedicated to supporting the growth of computer science education across all levels of K-12 schooling. Through providing resources and working to eliminate barriers, GaDOE aims to ensure every student in Georgia has access to and the opportunity for engaging in computer science experiences.
The purpose of this grant is to expand participation in K-12 Computer Science (CS) education aligning with the implementation of Senate Bill 108, mandating that high schools and middle schools offer CS instruction. This initiative focuses on building teacher capacity in CS education and promoting equitable access to computer science learning opportunities for all Georgia students. Grants are capped at $25,000 each, with a single competitive award per system. Districts or schools may collaborate by pooling their grants for a stronger collective impact in CS educational development.
