As a Greek immigrant who settled in Lynn, Massachusetts and owned property in the neighboring town of Saugus, Louis Gerondelis wanted his Foundation to benefit the people of his native country as well as his adopted home. The Gerondelis Foundation focuses its support on organizations that serve Greeks, Greek-Americans and the communities of Lynn and Saugus.
