The Golden Civic Foundation's mission is to invest in the economic and cultural vitality of the Golden Community. Through Civic Development, Community Grants, and Small Business Loans, supported by partnerships, donations, and volunteers, the Foundation aims to champion the passion and spirit of residents, provide assistance beyond expectations, and embody the "Golden Rule."
The Golden Civic Foundation's Community Impact Grants aim to improve the quality of life and ensure a prosperous future for residents of the Golden community. These grants support innovative projects within priority areas like Civic Development, Arts & Culture, Social Services, Education, Environment, and Public Benefit/Community Involvement. The grants encourage measurable strategies that create positive impacts in these areas. There are three types of Community Impact Grants: Collaborative Grants, Support Grants (programmatic), and Organizational Improvement Grants (capacity-building). Proposals are judged on their potential for significant positive impact in Golden, alignment with the foundation's vision, and fulfilment of community needs not covered by the organization's budget. Successful grants build organizational capacity, leverage collaboration, propose feasible success plans with reasonable budgets, attract additional funding, and define clear, measurable outcomes with long-term benefits. Collaborative Grants, specifically, fund joint efforts between two or more non-profits, emphasizing the importance of collective action and shared responsibility in community projects.
