The Golden Civic Foundation's mission is to invest in the economic and cultural vitality of the Golden Community. Through Civic Development, Community Grants, and Small Business Loans, supported by partnerships, donations, and volunteers, the Foundation aims to champion the passion and spirit of residents, provide assistance beyond expectations, and embody the "Golden Rule."
The Golden Civic Foundation's grant program prioritizes funding for innovative ideas that address emerging needs or opportunities within the community. Specific areas of focus include Civic Development, Arts & Culture, Social Services, Education, Environment, and Public Benefit/Community Involvement. The Foundation offers Community Impact Grants to support measurable strategies that enhance the quality of life and foster a brighter future for residents. Organizations are eligible to apply for one of the grant categories — Collaborative Grants, Support Grants (programmatic grants), or Organizational Improvement Grants (capacity-building grants) — once a year. These grants are evaluated based on their potential to create a significant positive impact in at least one funding priority area, alignment with the vision "For the Good of Golden," addressing basic living needs of community members, filling a crucial need not covered by the organization's budget, and other criteria aimed at ensuring project success and sustainability. Support Grants specifically focus on community initiatives that propose innovative, measurable, and sustainable solutions to significant challenges, with grant amounts ranging from $500-$5,000.
