The mission of the Environmental Trust Fund is focused on protecting, preserving, and enhancing the Province's natural environment through financial assistance to projects with action-oriented, tangible, and measurable outcomes.
The grant program is directed towards facilitating projects that yield direct benefits to the natural environment within specific priority areas. The priorities for 2018-2019 include protecting the environment (air, water, land), increasing environmental awareness among New Brunswickers, managing waste through proper disposal and diversion initiatives, addressing climate change by enhancing resilience and reducing greenhouse gases, and building sustainable communities capable of facing environmental challenges.
