The mission of the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation is to improve quality of life in Greater Kansas City by increasing charitable giving, educating and connecting donors to community needs, and leading on critical issues.
NCF's grant program, guided by a Community Needs Assessment released in March 2023, targets four specific areas for investment where philanthropic efforts can make a significant, measurable impact in the community. These focus areas are mental and behavioral health, addressing the needs of the growing senior population, increasing the availability of childcare and early childhood education, and improving transportation access and infrastructure. This targeted grantmaking approach seeks to bridge identified gaps in the Northland's community ecosystem by partnering with various organizations and entities that cater to the community's evolving needs.
