3. Acknowledge the influence of identity (gender, race, age, etc.) on our lives and communication. It also backs educational practices and research that:

5. Are committed to alternative pedagogies and practices.
6. Recognize the role of identities, genders, feminisms, civility, and civic engagement in justice. Furthermore, the grant fosters educational opportunities exploring identity, gender, feminism, civility, civic engagement, and justice.
