The Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF) was established in Springfield, Massachusetts and serves to enhance Jewish and community life in Western Massachusetts and around the world.
Professional Development Grants from the Harold Grinspoon Foundation aim to strengthen local Jewish schools and organizations by providing funding for professional development. These grants support programs hosted by approved Jewish or educational institutions, or independent consultants, that enhance organizational skills in outreach, marketing, fundraising, or educator development. Qualifying programs might include specific training sessions, onsite programs by guest educators, directed programs for educators, and online classes for job-related skill enhancement. The foundation offers up to 50% of total program costs, up to $2,500 per year, through a reimbursement model. Leadership in each organization must review applications before submission, and the grants are competitive, with no guaranteed funding.
