The Harris and Eliza Kempner Fund aims to advance the Kempner family's philanthropic vision and responsibility to society. The Kempner Fund’s Primary Grant Program supports organizations within the greater Galveston area across various sectors including the arts and historical preservation, community development, education, health, and human services. For the current cycle, the emphasis is on Health or Human Services, with health services covering Mental Health Care, Public Health, Sports/Physical Health, and Women’s Health, and human services including projects aimed at improving quality of life, mentoring programs, and character building.
