The Foundation’s Division of Environment, Wildlife Preservation and Animal Welfare is devoted to fostering long-term partnerships with groups that align with its core principles, focusing on local, national, and international efforts, particularly in Africa, to conserve the environment, preserve wildlife, and promote animal welfare.
The grant supports a wide array of initiatives aimed at combating the rapid extinction of iconic species in Africa. Priority is given to projects focused on battling poaching linked to wildlife trafficking, involving local communities in conservation efforts, protecting habitats from encroachment, and resolving conflicts over resources between communities and wildlife. The Foundation is open to funding general operating support and projects aimed at enhancing organizational capacity, as well as specific program initiatives or improvements.
