We have a vision of a Thriving, Just, Healthy, and Equitable Region. This vision is implemented through four decade-long goals of increasing Racial Equity, Thriving Youth and Families, Healthy Ecosystems and Environments, and a Just Economy.
The grant program, influenced by the strategic goals of racial equity, just economic development, healthy ecosystems and environments, and thriving youth and families, aims to support organizations that work towards these goals. Specifically, the Hansen Family Trust, established by Chris S. Hansen, provides grants to Christian organizations locally and abroad, with a particular focus on local Lutheran activities. The trust's expenditures are advised by family members, local Lutheran pastors, and a financial advisor, reflecting a community-centric approach to grantmaking.
