IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area's mission entails pooling individual contributions from members to fund significant grants for nonprofit organizations, aiming for substantial community impact without any portion of the funds being diminished by salaries, as they operate without paid employees or staff.
The IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area Grant aims to support projects within its community that can show a high potential for community impact. The organization awards grants in five core focus areas: Arts, Culture & History; Education; Environment & Recreation; Family; and Health & Wellness. Each project funded by IMPACT 100 receives at least $100,000, dictated by the pool of member contributions, which are fully allocated towards these grants. The selection process is democratic, with each member having a vote in which projects receive funding. The total grants available are directly related to the membership count by March 1st each year, emphasizing community involvement and investment in local nonprofit initiatives.
