Investing in human potential is crucial for creating a modern, flexible, and reliable power system. This encompasses enhancing awareness, education, skills, and capacity to allow First Nation and Métis communities and organizations to maximize energy opportunities and contribute to a cleaner, more dependable, and affordable energy infrastructure.
The Education and Capacity Building (ECB) Program aims to fund initiatives that raise awareness, educate, build skills, and enhance capacity within First Nation and Métis communities and organizations. This support aims to prepare these entities to fully use energy opportunities towards achieving a more sustainable, reliable, and cost-effective energy system. The program focuses on three main areas: community capacity-building initiatives, skill-building and project-readiness training, and funding innovative projects related to the ECB Program’s objectives.
