    Overview

The Indiana Alcohol Research Center Pilot Project Program aims to support investigators developing research programs on alcohol use disorders (AUD) by funding pilot projects. The program focuses on awarding grants for preliminary data collection that could lead to further external funding. It particularly emphasizes research into the behavioral, biological, and genetic mechanisms affecting alcohol preference, binge-level and high-intensity drinking patterns, tolerance, and broader mechanisms of AUD and its risk factors. Proposals introducing innovative techniques with the potential to advance the field of AUD research are also encouraged. Each pilot project may receive up to $50,000 (direct costs) annually for two years.
