The IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, Office of Community Outreach and Engagement focuses on reducing the cancer burden in Indiana through community engagement, research, and education. They aim to facilitate and support collaborative efforts that translate into evidence-based practices and interventions in communities, particularly for underserved populations, to decrease cancer incidence and improve cancer care outcomes across the state.
The Stark Neurosciences Pre-Clinical Neuroimaging Pilot Grant aims to foster the creation of new knowledge within the field of neurosciences through the establishment of funded research initiatives. It offers up to $10,000 in seed support for pioneering and high-risk animal imaging research projects that make use of the advanced Bruker BioSpec 9.4T PET-MRI scanner within the IIBIS In-Vivo Imaging Core. This grant is specifically designed for established neuroimaging investigators who are not classified under Category 1 & 2, and who are interested in pursuing innovative ideas that significantly diverge from their current research directions.
