The grant program from Innovia Foundation emphasizes building community and taking actionable steps towards addressing what matters most to residents in rural communities within its 20-county service area. It focuses on fostering increased participation in local decision-making, volunteerism, community-supported programs and activities, economic development, downtown revitalization, and the establishment of community endowment funds through the Community Heart & Soul® Program. Grants of $30,000 support community-based project coordinators and actions for up to two years, requiring communities to contribute a $10,000 local match. Additionally, selected communities receive technical assistance valued at $50,000, including program training and support from certified coaches.
