IAPT is a non-profit organization established in 1950 with the goal of promoting, supporting, and facilitating taxonomic, systematic, and nomenclatural research into algae, fungi, and plants.
IAPT's Small Collections Grants are aimed at providing competitive funding for the improvement and/or maintenance of botanical collections, specifically herbaria, of algae, fungi, and plants. The grant supports a range of activities including digitization projects, processing specimen backlogs, transferring endangered collections to other herbaria, making conservation improvements to current specimens, and other herbarium-related activities. It also considers requests for materials needed to mount herbarium specimens.
