The ICGEB is an international, nonprofit research organization committed to promoting biotechnology internationally through advanced research and training in molecular biology and biotechnology, especially for the benefit of developing countries. It aims to elevate scientific standards, enrich educational environments, and enhance research capabilities among its Member States via training, funding programs, and advisory services. The focus areas include biomedicine, crop improvement, environmental protection/remediation, and the production of biopharmaceuticals and biopesticides.
ICGEB offers Postdoctoral Fellowships in the Life Sciences to support highly motivated scientists in conducting postdoctoral research within a world-class scientific environment. These fellowships provide a competitive package that includes a stipend, health insurance, and additional benefits. The goal is to advance knowledge and techniques in molecular biology and biotechnology fields, with specific focuses such as biomedicine, crop improvement, environmental protection, and the production of biopharmaceuticals and biopesticides. Successful fellows may have the opportunity to apply for ICGEB Early Career Research Grants, enabling them to lead their own research projects as Principal Investigators (PIs) in an ICGEB Member State. The fellowship typically lasts two years with the possibility of extending for another year.
