IFER supports the development, validation, and implementation of innovative scientific methodologies that advance science and replace the use of animals in research, testing, and education. Our goal is to fundamentally change the course of science by incorporating respect and compassion for animals along with the pursuit of knowledge.
The Graduate Student Fellowships for Alternatives to the Use of Animals in Science program offers up to $15,000 annually for graduate student tuition or salary and supplies, renewable for up to three years. This support aims to encourage the development of innovative scientific methodologies that advance the goals of replacing animal use in scientific research, testing, and education. The continuation of funding is contingent on the progress of the student and the availability of funds.
