The OIV aims to provide grape and wine producing and consuming countries with information to help develop regulations, minimize trade barriers, promote sustainable production, and protect consumers.
The OIV Research Grant Program supports research scholarships in priority programme fields related to grape and wine production, offering both 3-year and short-term research grants for specific postgraduate training programmes. Funded by the OIV and a consortium of international companies, these grants aim to promote advancements in the field. The program specifically supports high-quality research projects in various domains, including the health sector, where projects are exclusively selected, assessed, and funded by OIV. Short-term grants, lasting six to fifteen months and offering up to €15,000, are designed for highly qualified individuals seeking to advance their research and stay abreast of developments in their area of expertise.
