Founded in 1980 and later renamed in 2005 to honor its founders, the foundation focuses on enhancing the quality of life for the people of Hawaii. It accomplishes this through support for stronger families, effective educational programs, and overall community improvement, continuing the legacy and values of James and Abigail Campbell.

The Foundation offers grants targeting specific causes to foster positive impact within Hawaiian communities. The broad goals of its grant program include supporting the development and implementation of projects in three main areas:

Youth - Addressing the challenges faced by young people.
Education - Enhancing public schools, early childhood education, and promoting environmental stewardship.
Hawaiian - Providing backing for programs that uphold Hawaiian values and contribute to the health and welfare of Hawaiians. Through these focal points, the Foundation aims to affirm its dedication to the future well-being and prosperity of Hawaii and its residents.
