    Overview

The James Marston Fitch Mid-Career Fellowship provides research grants of up to $15,000 to mid-career professionals with an established identity in the fields of historic preservation, architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, environmental planning, architectural history, and the decorative arts. The fellowship aims to support individuals conducting research or executing preservation-related projects in any of these domains. Evaluation of applications focuses on the project's potential to significantly contribute to the academic or professional field of historic preservation in the United States, the dissemination plan for research or the final product, clarity and realism of the project's goals, timeline, work plan, and budget, and the demonstration of innovative thinking, original research, and creative problem-solving or design.
