Kaiser Permanente exists to provide high-quality, affordable health care services and to improve the health of our members and the communities we serve.
The Spring Funding Opportunity is designed to support and empower individuals, institutions, and organizations committed to or already participating in research on gun violence prevention. It seeks to encourage efforts that not only generate evidence on effective interventions but also modify the narrative surrounding gun violence through a public health lens. Priority will be given to projects that are spearheaded by or significantly benefit communities that are disproportionately impacted by gun violence. The funding is divided into three categories, each with its specific aim and monetary support: Category 1 focuses on enhancing the research capabilities of those involved in gun violence prevention, Category 2 aims to broaden the implementation and research of evidence-based interventions and educational initiatives, and Category 3 is dedicated to advancing research that can significantly influence the gun violence prevention and intervention field.
