Based in Colorado, our focus is removing barriers to employment, opening pathways to meaningful employment and creating opportunities for enterpreneurship.
The Kenneth King Foundation grant program supports projects that enhance employment opportunities and economic self-sufficiency in Colorado. It allocates its giving to Entrepreneurship and Job Creation programs (50%), Barriers to Employment (25%), and General Purpose Funding (25%), which includes legacy organizations and initiatives in arts, culture, and sciences. The fund is particularly interested in programs that offer skill development in high-demand sectors, entrepreneurial training and support, seed capital with support services for ventures, and initiatives that lead to job creation with livable wages. Special emphasis is placed on aiding low-income entrepreneurs, marginalized communities, women, people of color, justice-involved individuals, rural communities, and people with disabilities. Grants typically range from $5,000 to $20,000.
