Founded in 1986, the Kent Community Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the greater Kent, Washington community. Initially focused on supporting cultural arts and education, the foundation expanded its mission in 2017 to better address the evolving needs of the community.
The Thunderbird Community Sports Foundation Grant aims to foster good health, physical education, and academic achievement among amateur athletes in the Puget Sound Region. It supports this goal by offering scholarships and grants for participating in both team and individual sports. Additionally, it provides funding to local youth and amateur sports associations for purchasing equipment and enhancing sports facilities, thus encouraging community-wide engagement in athletic activities.
