Khyentse Foundation aims to preserve and promote the Buddha's wisdom. As a mostly volunteer-funded institution, its mission is driven by the vision of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, evolving with the world's needs. It seeks to make Buddha's teachings accessible to all, believing that everyone can benefit from this wisdom, regardless of religious affiliation.
Khyentse Foundation's grant and scholarship programs are designed to support Buddhist study, practice, and activities, contributing to the nonsectarian spirit of Buddhist teachings. The foundation welcomes applications from Buddhist teachers, students, scholars, educators, translators, practitioners, and retreatants, globally supporting all Buddhist traditions. Khyentse Foundation offers financial assistance for various purposes, including Buddhist studies programs, translation projects, retreats, and the initiation of Buddhist education programs for children, among other dharma-promoting efforts. The Buddhist Studies Scholarship specifically aids individuals aiming to study the dharma, funding tuition and related expenses for students across all Buddhist traditions and educational levels, from BA to MPhil degrees and certificate programs. Funding ranges typically from $500 to $5,000 USD, with potential for larger awards depending on the proposal.
