Khyentse Foundation aims to preserve and promote the Buddha's wisdom. As a mostly volunteer-funded institution, its mission is driven by the vision of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, evolving with the world's needs. It seeks to make Buddha's teachings accessible to all, believing that everyone can benefit from this wisdom, regardless of religious affiliation.
Khyentse Foundation offers grants and scholarships to support the study and practice of Buddhism across all traditions worldwide. These funding opportunities cater to a broad audience, including Buddhist teachers, students, scholars, educators, translators, practitioners, and retreatants. With a nonsectarian perspective, the foundation aims to support projects that range from Buddhist studies programs, translation work, retreats, children's education in Buddhism, grassroots efforts in India and Nepal, to innovative ideas on spreading the dharma. The Individual Practice Grants, in particular, support personal or group retreats, teachings, or other Buddhist practices, with awards typically ranging from $500 to $5,000 USD.
