Khyentse Foundation aims to preserve and promote the Buddha's wisdom. As a mostly volunteer-funded institution, its mission is driven by the vision of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, evolving with the world's needs. It seeks to make Buddha's teachings accessible to all, believing that everyone can benefit from this wisdom, regardless of religious affiliation.
Khyentse Foundation's grant philosophy centers on nurturing Buddhist study, practice, and engagement across all traditions worldwide. By offering scholarships and funding for a variety of dharma-related pursuits—including academic studies, translation projects, retreats, and educational programs—the Foundation seeks to support individuals deeply engaged in bringing the dharma to life. Notably, the Foundation's PhD Scholarships provide up to $5,000 USD to assist doctoral candidates in Buddhist or Translation Studies, covering expenses such as tuition, research, travel, and publication. This initiative reflects the Foundation's commitment to academic excellence and the dissemination of Buddhist wisdom.
