Partnering with Michigan Community Resources and Co.act Detroit, it facilitates technical assistance, learning, and collaboration among grantees to address local priorities and reflect the unique culture, history, and demographics of the areas served.

    KIP:D+ (Kresge Innovative Projects: Detroit Plus) is a grant program focused on enhancing neighborhood life and fostering community cohesion in Detroit, Hamtramck, and Highland Park. It champions projects that prioritize neighborhood needs, represent the rich culture and history of the areas served, and involve community members in meaningful ways. The program supports:

    • Locally-based organizations serving these cities.
    • Entities reflecting their community's demographics in their leadership.
    • Initiatives that boost residents' quality of life or kickstart something novel through inclusive, collaborative approaches.

    KIP:D+ offers specific support for:

    • Planning + Implementation: For organizations needing help with project planning but capable of executing their plan within 24 months.
    • Implementation: Direct support for putting projects into action.

    Grantees benefit from comprehensive assistance, including:

    • Personalized technical support from Michigan Community Resources.
    • Opportunities to join a community of grantees for mutual learning and sharing.
