The Black, Indigenous, and People of Color Fund Grant aims to support organizations led by and serving communities of Native American, Latino, African, Arab, and/or Asian descent in Maine, striving for greater equity. It focuses on: investing in leadership and nonprofit organizations, changing discriminatory policies and practices, and alleviating the impact of race-based discrimination and disparities. The grant prioritizes racial equity, health, leadership development, and economic opportunity, exclusively supporting projects that involve and serve Black, Indigenous, and/or people of color in substantial roles and capacities. It offers Two-Year General Support Grants with a maximum of $10,000 per year.
