The March of Dimes Richard B. Johnston, Jr., MD Prize aims to recognize an outstanding scientist who has profoundly advanced the science around prenatal development, pregnancy, and birth. This accolade is in honor of scientists dedicated to translational research who have made significant contributions to our understanding of pregnancy, parturition, and prenatal development. Named after Dr. Johnston, a former Medical Director of March of Dimes and Professor Emeritus of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado, it includes a cash award and a commemorative prize. The recipient is expected to deliver a lecture at the Society for Reproductive Investigation (SRI) Annual Meeting. Areas of research focus include prenatal development, pregnancy, and parturition.
