The Mass Cultural Council advances the Commonwealth’s creative and cultural sector by celebrating traditions and talents, championing its collective needs, and equitably investing public resources.
STARS Residencies is a grant program designed to invest in the educational enrichment of students and teachers by working closely with artists, scientists, and humanists. The program offers grants ranging from $2,500 to $6,100 to support creative learning residencies within the arts, sciences, and humanities. Its goal is to provide K-12 students with opportunities to discover and explore their talents, express their ideas, gain confidence, connect with the natural world, and deepen their understanding of history and their community role. These residencies encourage partnerships between schools and cultural partners, including independent teaching artists, scientists, humanists, or nonprofit organizations that offer such educational services.
