    Overview

The Conservation Partnership Grant Program is designed to support not-for-profit groups in acquiring interests in land for conservation or recreation by funding potential projects that either involve the acquisition of fee interest in land or a conservation restriction, or due diligence for land or a conservation restriction that was donated. The program is targeted at qualified 501(c)(3) organizations and conservation districts, emphasizing the importance of appropriate public access and the involvement of a municipal, state agency, or another land trust holding the conservation restriction. This initiative reflects the Baker Administration’s commitment to outdoor recreation, conservation of natural resources, climate change mitigation, and resilience, in line with Governor Baker’s Executive Order 569. It operates as a reimbursement program, underpinning efforts to build a more resilient Commonwealth.
