The Minnesota: Behavioral Health Grant program targets the support for individuals of all ages experiencing serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders. It also focuses on addressing the behavioral health workforce shortage. The grant prioritizes innovative or collaborative approaches to address service delivery gaps, integrate physical and mental health care, manage co-occurring disorders, support the mental health needs of children, and provide intensive case management services. The aim is to enhance health outcomes and provide equitable solutions to reduce health disparities with a strong emphasis on community partnerships and collaborations, trauma-sensitive practices, and a strengths-based approach to care and treatment. Grants can be awarded up to $50,000.
