The mission of the Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA) is to end suffering and death due to melanoma by collaborating with all stakeholders to accelerate powerful research, advance cures for all patients, and prevent more melanomas.
The Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA) announces a Request for Proposals (RFP) targeting pre-clinical, translational, and early clinical research aimed at producing significant, near-term advancements in melanoma prevention, detection, diagnosis, and treatment. Specifically, MRA seeks proposals that bridge the gap in translational science, applying basic and preclinical discoveries towards clinical trials and studies that impact melanoma outcomes. Areas of interest include prevention strategies rooted in an understanding of melanoma's environmental, epidemiological, and biological factors; innovative detection and diagnostic methodologies; and treatment approaches that translate scientific findings into new therapeutic options. Pilot Awards are designated for senior investigators with groundbreaking ideas lacking extensive preliminary data, offering up to $50,000 per year for two years to support projects demonstrating a strong potential for translational goals and clinical application.
