    Overview

The Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA) is seeking proposals for pre-clinical, translational, and early clinical research with the potential for significant, near-term impacts in melanoma prevention, detection, diagnosis, and treatment. The focus is on bridging the gap in translational science by applying basic and preclinical discoveries to the development of clinical trials and studies. Proposals are invited in the areas of prevention, detection and diagnosis, and treatment, with an emphasis on translating scientific findings into new treatments for melanoma patients. Projects could include work on melanoma immunotherapy, therapeutic applications targeting the mechanisms of melanoma development or progression, treatments that target the tumor microenvironment or microbiome, combination therapies, and the development of novel response biomarkers. The grant program also includes Team Science Awards to encourage collaborative research efforts, with up to $300,000 per year for three years available.
