Pérez CreARTE Grants

The Pérez CreARTE Grant Program, by investing over $1.5 million in Miami-Dade organizations, seeks to expand residents' access to the arts and establish the city as a global hub for artistic excellence. The broad goals of the program include fostering effective arts education to inspire local youth, attracting and supporting top artistic talent through local fellowship and residency programs, and supporting organizations that embrace artistic risk-taking, expand creative experience diversity, and present inspiring and relevant work. Specifically, the program focuses on:

• Arts Access: Funding aims at enhancing public engagement with diverse, high-quality arts throughout Greater Miami and integrating arts into community life.
• Arts Education: Supports organizations offering equitable arts education opportunities to all young people, including multidisciplinary arts programs and pre-professional training for future artists.
• Artist Fellowships and Residencies: Targets the creation or expansion of programs for artists to develop their talents and showcase their work, recognizing and supporting artists in pivotal career phases.

The program also considers funding requests for expanding or developing new spaces for artists and organizations to ensure access to affordable creative spaces. Grants are awarded as two-year commitments, ranging from $100,000 to $250,000.
