The mission of the Mid-America Arts Alliance (M-AAA), supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, is to enrich and encourage the cultural landscape of the region by supporting artists and arts organizations in their pursuit of creative endeavors. M-AAA focuses on fostering innovation, experimentation, and connection within the arts community, serving as a pivotal resource for the artistic growth and cultural enrichment in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas.
The Artistic Innovations Grant Program aims to stimulate the spirit of creativity and innovation among artists and arts organizations within the M-AAA region by supporting the creation and presentation of new, original works. Offering up to $15,000, the grant supports expenses related to the art-making process and the premiere of new endeavors to audiences in the specified region. This program emphasizes the importance of in-person artistic experiences and seeks projects that introduce novel ideas or original products to audiences. Eligible projects may include a variety of engagement forms like performances, publications, lectures/demonstrations, exhibitions, master classes, and workshops. This grant specifically targets individual artists and arts-based nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations that meet the listed eligibility criteria, aiming to elevate the regional art scene through innovative projects.
