The mission of the Mid-America Arts Alliance (M-AAA), supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, is to enrich and encourage the cultural landscape of the region by supporting artists and arts organizations in their pursuit of creative endeavors. M-AAA focuses on fostering innovation, experimentation, and connection within the arts community, serving as a pivotal resource for the artistic growth and cultural enrichment in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas.
The Creative Forces Community Engagement Grant supports non-clinical arts engagement programs for military-connected individuals in healthcare, community, or virtual settings. It focuses on several participant outcomes through art or art-making, including creative expression, social connectedness, resilience, and successful adaptation to civilian life. The program emphasizes building networks, strengthening the capacity of organizations, and increasing the value and impact of the arts within communities. Grants are awarded in two tiers: emerging and advanced, with amounts ranging from $10,000 to $50,000, depending on the project scope and completion timeline.
