    Overview

The Strategic Investment Grant (SIG) is Mile High United Way's main grantmaking program, targeting nonprofit organizations in the seven-county Metro Denver area that align with their mission. This grant focuses on supporting organizations that work in specific areas: providing high-quality early childhood education, offering quality out-of-school time programming, and ensuring access to housing, food, legal services, and tax preparation. The program prioritizes basic needs services, out-of-school time, and early childhood education as key areas for community investment. Grants are awarded through a competitive process that seeks to fund entities contributing significantly to the community’s welfare. Organizations eligible for this grant can apply for either general operating or program support, with certain restrictions applying to schools, school districts, and government entities.
