The grant program, spearheaded by DEED's Employment & Training Division, focuses on awarding proposals that emphasize equity by building an inclusive, skilled workforce and reducing disparities; innovation, through developing new solutions for workforce and community challenges; and performance, by fostering partnerships that enhance participant opportunities and provider outcomes. Specifically, the grants aim to fund Diversity and Inclusion training for eligible Minnesota small businesses, assisting them in engaging, hiring, and retaining people of color. Funding for applications is capped at $30,000 total for the biennium.
