The Minnesota Humanities Center connects our past, present, and future by bringing people together to increase understanding and spark change. Aiming for a just society that is connected, curious, and compassionate, it collaborates with individuals, organizations, and communities across Minnesota to make the humanities broadly relevant and accessible through educational opportunities, cultural experiences, and public engagement.
The Cultural Heritage Grants, provided by the Minnesota Humanities Center, aim to support cultural organizations with a track record of engaging with diverse cultural communities. The grants encourage the creation of programming and educational opportunities in Minnesota that honor and preserve the state’s cultural heritage, educate and reach out to students on cultural diversity, develop culturally diverse humanities programming, and empower communities in building identity and culture. MHC will award $8,000,000 in Cultural Heritage grants, with at least $2,000,000 designated for grants of at least $150,000 each. Financial documentation is required for requests of $25,000 or more.
