The Tree Planting Grants, previously known as Arbor Day Grants, are designed to support the purchase and planting of trees in celebration of Arbor Day. The program provides two levels of funding: a $350 grant available to all communities and a $850 grant exclusive to Tree City USA communities. Applicants are required to submit an Arbor Day Proclamation with their application. While matching funds are not a requirement, they are encouraged. The grants are focused solely on funding tree-related expenses and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to projects with complete applications.
