MDT’s mission is to plan, build, operate, and maintain a safe and resilient transportation infrastructure to move Montana forward.
The Emergency Medical Services Grant Program offers competitive grants to emergency medical service providers aiming to bolster their capabilities in serving communities across Montana, particularly in rural areas facing economic and logistical constraints. The grant supports the acquisition or leasing of ambulances or emergency response vehicles, and the purchase of equipment crucial for emergency medical care, excluding routine medical supplies. This program also encompasses funding for training materials to support EMS certification, communication equipment compliant with Montana's public safety interoperability standards, and various medical gadgets for patient care. Training, enhancing communication capabilities, and providing comprehensive medical care stand as the program's guiding pillars, aiming to elevate the quality and reach of prehospital emergency services across the state.
