MJF Special Project Grants

    From Montana Justice Foundation

The mission of the Montana Justice Foundation (MJF) is to provide essential legal assistance to those who would otherwise have to navigate our civil justice system alone, helping Montanans secure housing, medical care, freedom from abuse, and pathways to health, safety, and self-sufficiency.

    Type of Support

    Overview

The Montana Justice Foundation Grants program offers financial support to qualified nonprofit organizations that align with MJF's charitable objectives. These objectives include improving the availability, accessibility, and quality of legal services especially for the vulnerable and under-served, increasing public knowledge of the law, promoting the effective administration of justice, and enhancing public understanding of and access to alternative dispute resolution. MJF Special Project Grants cater to discrete, innovative projects targeting specific needs such as legal education for communities, establishment of legal aid clinics, advocacy on legal issues affecting disadvantaged Montanans, development of legal forms for self-representation, promotion of pro bono services within the legal community, improving accessibility or consistency of judicial processes, and any project that furthers MJF’s charitable goals.
