    The Mt. Sinai Health Care Foundation aims to support the improvement of the health and well-being of both the Jewish and general communities in Greater Cleveland for current and future generations.

    The grant focuses on several key areas:

    1. Health of the Jewish Community: Supporting efforts to improve the physical and mental health of the Jewish community, in collaboration with the Jewish Federation of Cleveland and other Jewish organizations.
    2. Health of the Urban Community: Aiming to improve the health of Greater Cleveland's vulnerable populations, with a focus on health promotion, disease prevention, and reaching large populations.
    3. Academic Medicine & Bioscience: Strengthening Cleveland's status as a leader in medical education and biomedical science, supporting collaborations among academic medical centers.
    4. Health Policy: Supporting initiatives that maximize government effectiveness in healthcare provision, particularly for at-risk populations and in alignment with the Affordable Care Act.

    The foundation places a high priority on proposals that demonstrate sound design, clear and measurable outcomes, potential for additional resource leverage, strong fiscal practices, and significant board commitment.
