NASA explores the unknown in air and space, innovates for the benefit of humanity, and inspires the world through discovery.
The NASA ARMD Research Opportunities in Aeronautics (ROA) 2024 National Research Announcement (NRA) seeks to fund graduate research training grants that begin in the academic year. This initiative is aimed at supporting independently-conceived research projects by highly qualified graduate students in disciplines that are critical to advancing NASA’s goals. These disciplines are invariably linked to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) areas of study that are relevant to NASA's mission. The AAVP Fellowship Opportunities, in particular, prioritize innovation and the production of measurable research outcomes that align with NASA’s current and future scientific and technological objectives. Applicants are encouraged to propose research efforts that address the specific challenges outlined in Elements of Appendix A.8, demonstrating how their work can contribute to overcoming these hurdles and advancing knowledge in their field.
