The National Ataxia Foundation aims to support cutting-edge Ataxia research to find a cure and improve the quality of life for those affected by hereditary and sporadic forms of Ataxia.
The National Ataxia Foundation’s grant program is designed to support leading Ataxia researchers worldwide in their efforts to find a cure and enhance the quality of life for individuals living with Ataxia. The foundation offers various grants, including research grants to both domestic and international non-profit and for-profit institutions, and post-doctoral fellowship awards. Research grants are open to applications from across the globe, including non-U.S. citizens, provided they meet the PI qualifications. The Post-Doctoral Fellowship Award targets emerging scientists who have completed one to two years of post-doctoral training and demonstrated a commitment to Ataxia research. With a funding amount of $35,000, this award aims to facilitate the transition of post-doctoral researchers to junior faculty positions, thereby fostering the development of independent ataxia research programs.
