The NATA Foundation, as the philanthropic arm of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, aims to advance the athletic training profession through research and education. It is committed to benefiting athletic trainers and associated companies, as well as the physically active community, by fostering collaboration among health care professionals for preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation.
The NATA Foundation offers research grant programs that provide financial support to drive growth and advancement within the athletic training profession. These include the Masters Student Grants Program, aimed at supporting exceptional research projects by offering funding to students engaged in a guided research experience under the mentorship of faculty or research staff at their institution. Awards are granted on an annual basis, offering up to $1,000 over a one-year period, strictly for direct costs, with specific allowances for travel costs related to presenting results in the second year if applicable.
