The mission of the National PTA is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children through collaboration, commitment, accountability, respect, inclusivity, and integrity.
The PTA Connected: Build Up and Belong program, sponsored by Discord and organized by the National PTA, aims to foster meaningful conversations between teens and their parents or caregivers about the use of technology. Specifically, it seeks to explore technology as a tool for communication and relationship building, discuss ways to create positive communities online, navigate privacy and safety on digital platforms, and engage in interactive family discussions about online scenarios, experiences, and expectations. This program supports 25 local PTAs/PTSAs, each receiving $1,250 in funding to achieve these goals.
